Concept of Product Demos, Product Pitches

  1. Define product demos and pitches in the software industry, the significance of product demos and pitches in the software industry. * Important to appeal to the target audience, to sell your product

  2. Identify potential target audience groups for product demos and pitches.

  3. Analyze the key elements for a successful product pitch and demo, emphasizing the role of communication. * Use of rhetorical devices * Confidence, manners, but not to be arrogant * Practice * Credible, trustworthy person behind the product * Watch Dragon’s Den (Generat8, etc)

  4. Anticipate challenges in delivering a product demo or pitch, particularly in a team setting. * Coming off as arrogant * Not knowing the product, not knowing the numbers well.

  • Evaluation: What was good and bad about the experience?
  • Analysis: What sense can you make of the situation?
  • Conclusion: What else could you have done?
  • Action Plan: If it arose again what would you do?
